The inspiration for the Momiji doll came from a hand made Japanese wooden doll called Kokeshi. The creators liked the Kokeshi doll but wanted their doll to be smaller and more affordable. So they came up with a fantabulous Japanese inspired doll, made from resin, around 8cms in height, but with a twist. It had a secret compartment that could hold a personalised message to be read by the receiver (when given as a gift). This simple but brilliant idea has made Momiji a real success story.
